20th May 2023 - A significant number of community members (totaling 2,501) residing along the proposed PJD Link highway alignment have participated in an independent Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for the project. The organizers have released the survey results today. The SIA was conducted by a group of concerned residents, including professionals with expertise in engineering, urban design, and information technology. The group has also gained endorsements for the independent SIA from various resident associations, joint management bodies, management corporations, and non-governmental organizations. An overwhelming 93.6% of the respondents disagreed with the proposed highway, irrespective of their age, length of residence, or distance of their premises from the highway alignment. Additionally, 93.6% of the respondents stated that they and their families would be impacted by the project, with no variation based on age, length of residence, or distance from the highway alignment.
