The community along the proposed PJ Dispersal Link highway are rightly concerned about the pros and cons of a proposed elevated, tolled urban highway running through their city. Any perceived benefits or negative impacts brought on by a large-scale infrastructure project such as the PJ Dispersal Link highway must be carefully studied and analyzed to weigh the benefits against any harmful or undesirable effects.
In order to systemically capture and report on the perceived and potential benefits or adversities, a group of concerned residents comprising professionals in engineering, urban design and information technology expertise, have authored an independent Social Impact Assessment (SIA) study.
These volunteers have then obtained endorsement of their efforts and outputs with the various Residents Associations, Joint Management Bodies, Management Corporations and Nongovernmental Organizations (please see list).
The entire framework of running the survey, administering, processing and analyzing the results shall be open to these bodies for scrutiny, as they are rightly the residents and stakeholders who will be impacted by the proposed PJ Dispersal Link highway.
Further, Puan Maria Chin, social activist and former MP of Petaling Jaya (2018 – 2022) has also agreed to support and witness the process of this independent survey and its results.
The organizers additionally wish to bring to attention a Terms & Privacy Policy embedded in the survey forms. Please read this carefully as it forms part of the “Terms of Use” which govern the use of the survey.
The communities along the alignment of the proposed highway look forward to the responses from as many affected parties as possible, within the zones of direct and indirect influence to fill up and submit this survey.
Thank you.
